Zipper Merge
Category : Indication signs

Signage of the zipper merge principle. Reminds drivers of the mandatory rule when lanes narrow (roadworks, lane closure): vehicles merge one by one, alternately, just before the merge point. Drive to the end of the closing lane, then yield/take turns alternately. Refusing to let someone merge has been an infraction since 2014.
